Corn Week Recipe No. 9: Corn Canapes

A canapé is a small, prepared and usually decorative food, held in the fingers and often eaten in one bite. This dish serves as a great starter. Often we have friends coming over in the evening to catch up over the weekends. To accompany the interesting conversations we serve different mocktails. In no time the canapés are gone!

So here’s the recipe:

1 cup boiled corn
1 cup milk
1 tbsp maida
15 canapé shells(readily available In stores)
salt and pepper to taste

Pour the milk in the pan. Add butter, salt & pepper to it and mix well. bring it to a boil and keep stirring well till it thickens. Now add corn to it and mix well. the sauce is ready.
Take the canapé shells and fill them with the sauce. Grate some cheese over it. Put a dot of tobasco sauce on it and serve.
