The place opens at 5:30-6:00am and is always buzzing with people.No matter which day you go there, you will have to wait to grab a seat inside.The menu is quite short and you don’t even need one if you go here regularly.
The Idli is so soft it just melts in your mouth and it is consistent throughout the day. The Cheese Dosa, Masala Dosa, Sada Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa and Rava Dosa are all so crisp and tasty, you keep munching on. The Medu Vadas are hot and fresh and easy to eat. Upma is incredibly soft and light and it just vanishes once in your mouth. It also offers various Sheeras like the chocolate sheera, chikoo sheera, pineapple sheera and strawberry sheera. All taste delicious and they also serve gajar halwa on particular days. These dishes are so tasty that you can have 4-5 of them at once and still ask for more.
I remember this one time i was here with a couple of friends , we reached the place around 8:40am and had to wait for ten minutes before we could relish our meals. We placed our first order at 8:50am starting with idli and rasam vada. As the time passed we kept on ordering for each dish which was available and there was no stopping us. Medu vada, puri bhaji, plain sheera, mysore sada, pineapple sheera, vada sambhar, upma, onion mysore rava dosa, dahi bhath and the mandatory filter coffee.
Our last order came at 10:10am and the waiter also was smiling and very friendly all the time we were there. The customers around us kept changing and we were still there. They serve sheera after 10:00am and we were done by 9:50am so here comes in the waiter with big wide smile and says, “ruk jao aapke liye sheera leke aata hu” (Hang on I’ll get the sheera for you’ll). That feeling of having the first sheera of the day is just so amazing.
